Through his initiative BhopalSB, he has been actively contributing to the local skate scene by organizing skate jams and workshops, supporting skatepark development, creating DIY skate spots and products, and helping introduce new riders to the sport. Starting completely from scratch with almost no support and no active skateboarding community in the city, his grassroots efforts have helped grow the scene from one skater to a growing crew of 40+ skateboarders in Bhopal.
Over the years, his work has helped create more opportunities, spaces, and visibility for skateboarding in the city. He strongly believes skateboarding can inspire confidence, creativity, discipline, and connection among young people, while also building a positive culture around freedom of expression and movement.
Beyond skateboarding, Shashank is deeply connected to adventure and outdoor sports. He actively takes part in downhill sports like longboarding and snowboarding, is also a highliner and mountaineer, and has summited 15+ peaks including Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa — experiences that continue to shape his perspective towards exploration, resilience, and pushing personal limits.

Jacob Dan Paul
Chennai 📍
Jacob grew up in a city where skateboarding was virtually unknown. He started skating alone in 2016, and through social media, he slowly connected with a few other skaters in his city who shared the same passion. That’s where his skateboarding journey truly began.
Over time, skateboarding became much more than a hobby for him. It constantly pushed him beyond his limits, encouraging him to think differently, try new things, and keep chasing what came next. The challenge of learning tricks and progressing every day slowly shaped his entire life around skateboarding.
Through skating, Jake met countless people, travelled to new places, and discovered a sense of purpose and confidence. Skateboarding taught him resilience — the mindset of never giving up, whether while battling tricks or facing life itself.
Today, at 32 years old, skateboarding has become his career. He teaches skateboarding to kids and actively supports the skateboarding scene in his city through the Chennai SB Community, helping create the kind of platform and support system he never had when he first started skating.

Sam
Lucknow 📍
Extreme sports have always been a part of Sam's life. Before skateboarding, he spent years riding BMX and freestyle MTB until a broken arm during a session pushed him toward skating in 2022. He first learned to cruise, lost his board in a river soon after, and somehow still ended up finding his way back to skateboarding because the adrenaline, fear, excitement, and freedom never really left him.
What keeps Sam skating is the feeling of progression. Every session changes him a little. He goes home better than the day before, even if it's slow. That visible growth is something he has never felt this strongly in any other sport or art form.
He loves transition, pump tracks, bowls, and especially street skating because it feels like the real challenge. Some of his hardest tricks so far have been acid drops, caveman variations, and nose stalls, but his dream trick is still landing a 720 big spin flying out of a bowl and back into it.
Outside skating, Sam works professionally as a cinematographer, which naturally pushed him toward documenting his journey through film and storytelling. He wants to capture not only progression, but also the reality of skateboarding — the slams, the people, the late-night sessions, the cities, and the culture growing around it. He wants people to see that everything is possible; it just might not have been done yet.
Sam has always wanted skate culture to grow in Lucknow. Years ago, he helped sign petitions for skateparks in the city, and now he tries to help beginners whenever he can because that's how communities actually grow. Skateboarding taught him confidence, patience, discipline, and creativity, and he wants others to feel that same freedom.
For Sam, skateboarding and life are soul bonded.

Aayush Khazanchi
Mumbai 📍
Aayush Khazanchi (TL;DR: Khaza) is a musician based in Mumbai and the curator of a growing surfskating community in the city.
Every weekend, he teaches surfskating lessons at the Worli Promenade, creating a space where people can experience the feeling and flow of surfing—without needing access to the ocean.
In India, surfing remains a niche sport, largely because access to the sea isn't easy for everyone. Through surfskating, Aayush is working to make the essence of surfing more accessible to urban communities today, and hopefully to rural communities in the future.
For him, surfskating is much more than a workout for the legs and core. It's a practice of presence, a moving meditation, and a way to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with oneself through flow and movement.
