FAQs

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT SKATEBOARD?

Choosing a skateboard is easier than it looks. You mainly need to decide based on your experience level and riding goal — not just design.

1. If you are completely new (first skateboard):

Choose a Beginner skateboard (like Piston series).

Beginner boards are more stable, easier to balance and forgiving while learning pushing, turning and your first ollie. They help you learn faster and with fewer falls.

2. If you already know riding and want to do tricks:

Choose a Pro skateboard (like Hearty / Zero decks).

Pro boards respond quicker, pop higher and are designed for flip tricks, park skating and technical control. They feel harder at first but perform better for experienced riders.

3. Rider height & weight (important):

Our standard boards suit most riders from ages 8+ to adults and comfortably support up to ~95–100 kg.

Skateboards are selected by body size, not age — a teenager and an adult can ride the same board.

4. Where you will ride:

  • Terrace / parking / colony roads → Beginner board recommended
  • Skate park / tricks → Pro board

If you’re still unsure, just message us on WhatsApp, we’ll personally suggest the right board for you.

WHY ARE SOME SKATEBOARDS VERY CHEAP ONLINE?

Many very cheap boards are plastic decks or decorative boards with weak trucks and poor bearings. They don’t roll smoothly and often break quickly.

A proper skateboard requires strong trucks, real bearings and layered wood, that’s what makes learning easier and safer.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF A SKATEBOARD?

A skateboard is made of several important components, and each part affects how the board rides and feels. Understanding them helps you choose a better board and ride more confidently.

DECK (the wooden board you stand on)

The deck is the main body of the skateboard. Ours are made from multi-layer pressed wood (7-ply construction) which gives strength and slight flex. A good deck provides balance, durability and proper pop for tricks.

TRUCKS (the metal T-shaped parts under the board)

Trucks connect the wheels to the deck and control turning. Strong alloy trucks are very important — weak trucks make balancing difficult and can bend or wobble easily.

WHEELS

The wheels determine how smooth the ride feels. Softer wheels roll better on rough roads while harder wheels are better for tricks and skate parks. Good wheels help beginners learn faster.

BEARINGS (inside the wheels)

Bearings allow the wheels to spin freely. Better bearings mean smoother rolling and less effort while pushing. Poor bearings are one of the main reasons cheap skateboards feel hard to ride.

GRIP TAPE (the rough black layer on top)

Grip tape provides traction so your shoes don’t slip. It helps you balance, push and attempt tricks safely.

BUSHINGS (rubber rings inside the trucks)

Bushings control how easily the board turns. Softer bushings help beginners turn comfortably, while tighter bushings give more stability at speed.

HARDWARE (nuts & bolts)

These hold all parts together and keep the board stable and safe during riding.

WHAT IS “ABEC BEARING” AND WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Bearings are what make the wheels spin smoothly.

Good bearings roll longer and require less pushing, which makes learning much easier for beginners. Poor bearings are the main reason many first-time riders quit early.

ARE YOUR SKATEBOARDS SUITABLE FOR EXPERIENCED OR TRICK RIDERS?

Yes, we also offer setups meant for riders who already know skating and want better trick performance.

Our pro-level boards (such as Hearty / Zero decks) are designed for faster response, sharper pop and more control during flip tricks, manuals and park riding. These boards feel more sensitive than beginner boards and are intended for riders who are comfortable with balancing and basic riding.

If you already ride and want to practice ollies, kickflips, park lines or street skating, a pro deck will perform much better than a beginner board.

You can always message us and we’ll help you choose the right deck size and type based on your riding style (street, park or casual cruising).
